 Glades Electric Education Foundation, Inc. Scholarships

Glades Electric Educational FoundatioGlades Electric Educational Foundation Logon, Inc. was formed in 2000 to provide post-high school education financial assistance to students living within the service area of Glades Electric Cooperative, Inc. Since it’s inception the foundation has awarded scholarships amounting to $416,000.

In 2018, the Foundation awarded up to eight, $4,000 scholarships. Applications were accepted from graduating seniors whose legal permanent residence is served directly by Glades Electric Cooperative, Inc.. Scholarship winners will be selected based on academic achievement and leadership.

GEEF, Inc. is looking forward to another fantastic scholarship year in 2019.  Applications are due March 7, 2019.

2019 Washington, DC Electric Cooperative Youth Tour for High School Juniors

Our 2019 winners are Makayla Strenth from Moore Haven Middle-High School and Keegan White, a Sebring High School student participating in the Collegiate High School program at South Florida State College. Thanks to all who applied this year.  We had a strong group of applicants!

Each year, all high school juniors in Glades Electric Cooperative’s service territory are eligible to apply for an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, DC.  Students chosen will join their peers for a tour of our nation’s capital, meetings with congressional representatives, and educational opportunities.  The 2019 Tour will take place June 15-20.  Applications for the 2020 Youth Tour will be available in the fall so check back if you know a high school junior who would like to apply.
