ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS!!

Glades Electric Educational Foundation, Inc.

2010 Scholarship Program
 
Are you interested in attending college? In 2010 the Foundation will award up to four, $4,000 scholarships and up to four, $2,000 scholarships. Applications will be accepted only from graduating seniors whose legal permanent residence is served directly or indirectly by Glades Electric Cooperative, Inc. Scholarship winners will be selected based on financial need, academic achievement and leadership.
 
Interested applicants are required to complete our four page application available at all county high schools, your local Glades Electric Cooperative office or here on our website. Your application must be received in one of our offices by 5:00 pm on March 15th.
 
APPLICATIONS CAN BE DOWNLOADED FROM THE MEMBER SERVICES SECTION OF OUR WEBSITE. 
 
2010 Rural Electric Youth Tour
In Washington D.C.
 
 
High school juniors can apply to win a week-long trip to Washington D.C. You will visit historic monuments and museums, meet U.S. Representatives and Senators, and socialize with hundreds of youth from across the country. You will also learn all about electric cooperatives and all the opportunities that they have brought to rural America. If you are a junior in high school and are served by Glades Electric Cooperative, do not miss the opportunity of a lifetime.
 
Interested applicants are required to fully complete our application which is available at your school guidance office, GEC office or here on our website.  Application Deadline is March 15th. Two students will be selected for an all expense paid trip to our Nation’s Capital, and it could be you!
