Glades Electric Cooperative, Inc. is a progressive rural utility serving approximately 15,000 meters located in South Central Florida covering Highlands, Okeechobee, Glades, and Hendry counties. The metropolitan areas of Orlando, Ft. Myers, and West Palm Beach are a couple of hours away with Orlando hosting major theme parks such as Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, Disney MGM, Epcot, Islands of Adventure, and Pleasure Island. Our service territory borders Lake Okeechobee which is famous for it's Large Mouth Bass fishing, duck hunting, and outdoor recreation.
